Jose Macedo MBA 16 is a second-year Full-Time MBA student who earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from UC Davis in 2013. He returned to campus and the Graduate School of Management to pursue his entrepreneurial interest in biotech. “My passion is in medical devices and bringing new technologies to industry,” he said. After graduating in June, Macedo has an offer to join Keysight Technologies, a global leader in electronic test and measurement equipment innovation.
As an MBA student, Macedo received the Dolan Family Management Education Award. Established by Eamonn and Kathleen Dolan, the award supports Full-Time MBA students who have overcome significant financial hardships or other obstacles.
“The main impact that it has on me is really that vote of confidence that the Dolan family has in terms of investing in me, investing in my education and casting a vote in knowing that I’d be successful.”
