Technology Management Minor Opens Doors

All Undergraduates Can Now Take Courses

UC Davis Professor Kim Elsbach talks about workplace ethics during a business innovation and leadership development class in the UC Davis Malcolm Residence Hall main lounge on Monday, October 29, 2012. The class is part of a Graduate School of Management partnership with Student Housing.

For the first time, the Graduate School of Management will offer the complete menu of courses for its undergraduate technology management minor to all UC Davis undergraduates.

Since 2003 the School have offered the minor to a limited number of undergraduates in engineering and the sciences who applied and were accepted into the program. The minor and the six courses are now open to all undergraduates without an application.

As well, the five required courses can now be completed in one summer.

The minor helps prepare undergraduates with leadership and management skills that are in high demand in the high-tech arena. The courses include: Managing and Using Information Technology; Marketing for the Technology-based Enterprise; Technology Management; Financing New Business Ventures; Managing Costs and Quality; and Supply Chain Planning and Management.
